WWDC: 6 funny iPad videos while you wait for WWDC
With everyone watching and waiting for WWDC news later today, I thought it might be fun to post a small collection of all those viral iPad videos which have been popping up all over the internet in the last few weeks.
Some readers may also want a look all the emerging speculation on Apple's Magic Trackpad and the future of the Mac user interface...
What am I expecting from WWDC?
- Next-gen iPhones
- More on the iPhone OS
- Lots of strategic talk
- New platform opportunities for developers at the event.
- Mac OS X 10.7 may take an early bow, with a nod to the Magic Trackpad.
I'm not predicting Apple will confirm every hope and rumor as it never ever does.
While you wait for WWDC, enjoy the clips (unless you happen to be trying to watch them on a product which doesn't support the video format...oh) and make your predictions for Apple's developer event today in comments below.
Zero-G iPad
Here's a clip from Swiss science show, 'Einstein', in which the team test Apple's iPad in zero gravity to find out if the tablet's screen will flip in gravity-free conditions.
Will it blend?
Now the grandaddy of the iPad viral video, "Will It Blend" saw Blendtec's CEO pop the 'magical' device into a blender to find out. (It did).
A little iPad magic
Meet magician Shinya. Shinya proves just how much magic you really can squeeze out of an iPad with some clever video work (note the subtle cuts) and well-choreographed sleight-of-hand.
Animal iPad magic
Chloe the corgi tries an iPad (and doesn't seem to like it).
Meet the iPad DJ
Rana Sobhany is the world's first iPad DJ -- she doesn't use a laptop or synth and cranks out beats and loops from her pair of iPads.
iSkate, or Will it shred?
Skateboard pros Chad Knight and Built To Shred host Jeff King attempted to convert a brand-new 64GB Apple iPad into a skateboard. They weren't so succesful.
iPad in concert?
Chinese pianist Lang Lang walked onstage in San Francisco to perform the encore playing Flight Of The Bumblebee on an iPad. (What ruins this video is the stupid laughter in the background.)
