Shark Tank

Usually this time of year it would be an asterisk

This support pilot fish gets an e-mail from one of her users: "Why do I have a semicolon hard-coded on my computer?"

"Curious, I asked the user what exactly she meant by 'hard -coded,'" says fish. "She replied, 'On every program, I have a semicolon that appears of my screen. Doesn't bother anything, just weird.'

"She's only up on the second floor, so after a bit I take a walk up to her office to find out what the scoop is. She proceeds to open and close windows showing that the 'semicolon' does not move an inch.

"While getting an up-close look at the screen, I instinctively wet my finger and wipe the screen clean.

"I turn to look at the now red face of the user, who says, 'Can we keep this just between us?'"
