This pilot fish's IT shop has just migrated all the company's users to Microsoft Exchange 2010 -- and something is clearly wrong.
At least according to one user. "A few days after the migration, one of the company's stakeholders called the help desk," says fish. "He said that he had not received any junk mail since he was moved to Exchange 2010.
"He was very adamant that something was not working with the new mail servers and demanded we do something about the 'problem.'
"I very politely asked, 'Are you calling to say you're not receiving any junk mail?'"
Sharky doesn't mind all the junk as long as there are true tales, too. Send me your story of IT life at sharky@computerworld.com. You'll score a sharp Shark shirt if I use it. Add your comments below, and read some great old tales in the Sharkives.
The Best of Shark Tank includes more than 70 tales of IT woe submitted by you, our readers, since 1999. Which all goes to prove, conclusively, that hapless users and idiotic bosses are indeed worldwide phenomena. Free registration is all that's needed to download The Best of Shark Tank (PDF).
