Shark Tank

Well, maybe it's unexpected to YOU...

User logs a problem report for an internal service that's suddenly stopping -- and the trouble ticket lands on this pilot fish's desk.

"He was getting recurring alerts for a service terminating unexpectedly," fish says. "He had researched it thoroughly and discovered that it occurred every seven days at the same time.

"We investigated and determined that the user was indeed correct in his analysis that it happened every seven days at the same time -- which, coincidentally, was when the server had its scheduled weekly reboot.

"The user asked if there was anything we could do to resolve this issue. There was.

"We adjusted the alerting system to ignore that event during the scheduled reboot."
