A presidential debate you'd like to see

A number of scientists and technology folk are asking why we're not putting more pointed sci-tech questions to the current crop of Presidential hopefuls. If you think it would be helpful to know where your candidates stand on such things, check out the bipartisan Science Debate 2008 petition, which calls for discussion of topics such as sci-tech policy, health and medicine, and the environment. As your CW electronic-voting maven, I'd love to hear the candidates talk about the mess HAVA and touchscreen voting have put us in -- and as a dedicated follower of science I have a whole list of questions that include terms like "evolution" and "NASA" and "climate change" and "brain drain." The organizers would like to hear which issues you'd raise, too, so head on over and let them know.
