Google IO 2014: Live Blog and Streaming VideoGet ready, gang: It's time for Google I/O to begin.

Google's annual developers' conference kicks off at 9:00 a.m. PT (12:00 p.m. ET) today. The event opens with a 90-minute keynote that promises to be jam-packed with juicy Google news.

We're expecting to hear new info on Google's Android Wear platform and its first smartwatch products as well as fresh details on the Open Automotive Alliance initiative to bring Android into cars. Beyond that, there's always the possibility of new updates to Google apps or even Android itself -- and you never know what other kinds of surprises might be in store.

I'm at San Francisco's Moscone Center watching it all unfold. I'll be providing live play-by-play commentary along with my Computerworld colleage Sharon Gaudin, who's also here on the floor. We'll have live streaming video so you can follow along yourself, too; just scroll down to find it all.

So, are you ready to get Googley? The action's all right here on this page, starting at 9:00 a.m. PT.
