To Tell the Truth

Celerra Man

While at the EMC World conference in Las Vegas this past week, I was confronted by Celerra Man, a person dressed up in a foam suit to look like an EMC Celerra network attached storage array.

Celerra Man speaks with a southern drawl and delivers Elvis' trademark "Thank you. Thank you very much" with zeal.

Now Hopkinton, MA-based EMC owns an enormous section of seats at Fenway Park in Boston, where the Red Sox play, and the Red Sox mascot is Wally -- a man in a furry green costume whose name is derived from the "Green Monster" left field wall. It just struck me, as an animated Celerra Man stood amongst lounging user attendees, that EMC execs may be spending a bit too much time watching the Red Sox.

I'll just let the image speak for itself.
