Hope Rising

America's hope for some may be rising, but the new administration's plan to tax businesses, tax the "rich" and dramatically increase the size of government will drive us much, much deeper into depression! In addition, Obama is focused on socialistic and communistic tendencies. Maybe that is hope for some, but for those of us who have lived under a capitalistic hope have very little hope in a socialistic government. In addition, his plans to cut the military, withdraw troops from terrorist nations will end up with disaster.

I'm glad that someone has hope. Those of us who believe in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights see both going away.

Numbers.

I keep hearing about how much Obama and Congress are spending in an effort to keep this ship(U.S.A) afloat.

I looked up the numbers. You should as well.

The Previous administration outspent all other US presidents COMBINED, while giving a tax break centered on the super wealthy.

Over 90% of the current national debt can be attributed to three presidents.

Ronald Reagan, George Bush I, and George Bush II.

I would rather have a "tax and spend" democrat than a "charge it and spend" Republican.

The current Republican strategy which is OBVIOUS(I listened to a Republican speech to other Republicans practically stating it!) is to do whatever they can to make things as bad as possible in order to do better in the next elections, watch some C-SPAN! You will see Republicans opposing things, just to oppose them. No Ideas for making things better. The few brave and responsible Republicans who feel a responsibility to work for the American people are getting attacked by their own party!

Frankly, I don't even listen to the Obama haters. Their thinly disguised racism and hatred of anyone who doesn't make a 7 figure salary is wearing thin. Go on Topix you will find many people blaming him for the current crises on posts dated before he even took office! I'm not kidding they were actively accusing him of causing the current economic crisis in December!

If you read my posts I doubt anyone can call me a flaming liberal, but the Republican party has abandoned fiscal conservative policies and in some cases even the pretense of doing anything for anybody except those with large amounts of cash that bought and paid for their souls a long time ago.

Under the so called "conservatives" I watched SOCIALIST labor manipulation (H-1B), Corporate well-fair, Corruption at the highest levels, and just plain GREED bring this country to the brink of disaster.

Obama could do just about anything at this point, as long as he is trying to help the USA not Big oil Big banks Big Wars, and Big mistakes I'll support it, at least he isn't poking holes in the bottom of a sinking ship like SOME PARTIES I KNOW OF! The previous incompetent boob and his EVIL sidekick have made such a mess it will take the next 15 administrations to fix it.

Again, I'm certainly no lefty liberal, but the Republicans certainly don't represent fiscal conservatism or anything else thats good for the USA anymore.

I wish the REAL conservatives stuck in the rotting carcase of the GOP would form a new party that actually did something conservative instead of saying one thing and doing the EXACT opposite.

How many Republicans support the H-1B? How many supported "Free trade" agreements that did nothing but export jobs and import cheap goods made by defacto slaves under conditions no American would work taking salaries that wouldn't buy a loaf of bread and dumping whatever into the air and sea? How many Republicans did ANYTHING they told the public they were going to do?
