Gmail and Google Hosted Email is down

Update: 3:18 EST It looks like our Gmail and Google Apps Mail are back up...I knew it wouldn't be long :/

Bad news again for those in the "Google is the future of Enterprise" (like me) crowd. Google Hosted Email for companies and Gmail is down. We've been down here for about a half hour but reports from Twitter (and colleague Robert Mitchell) have people out all day.

Most other Google services including Calendar seem to be working. Google also just posted a service advisory to its Apps Status page.

Twitter is a flutter with Gmailers wondering what's going on and what happened. Unfortunately, the Google Blogs (and here) and Google Twitters are quiet.

This is on the back of another big outage a couple of weeks ago. Google is starting to scare its proponents with these continued outages.

Anyone else having some issues?

We're aware of a problem with Google Mail affecting a small subset of users. The affected users are unable to access Google Mail. We will provide an update by March 10, 2009 9:30:00 AM UTC-4 detailing when we expect to resolve the problem. Please note that this resolution time is an estimate and may change.
Update at 1:30 UTC: Please note that the Google Mail service has already been restored for the majority of our users. The rest of the users should be coming back online within the next 24-36 hours. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support.
