Google April Fool's Day gags
- TAGS:April Fools day, Google, humor
It's April Fool's day again which means Google's gag engine is in full swing. While others are worried about what the conficker worm will be doing to their networks, I'm going to sit back and see what Google has to offer in the way of entertainment.
First up is the Australian Gball. The new Footie Aussie rules ball is more than what it appears.
Google China has a pigeon watch page. I am really not sure what is going on here. I am a bit afraid to hit the translate button.
CADIE is Cognitive Autoheuristic Distributed-Intelligence Entity. I really hope this is a prank. CADIE even has a blog (NSFW?) which looks like a Myspace page. It also can help with Gmail by producing autoresponses. And is on Google Earth as well. Don't forget the CADIE powered Google Brain search. And her Japanese page.
Picassa has the "Auto Red-Eye" feature which does the opposite of what it normally does, turning all of your photos into red-eyed alien shots.
Google Chrome now has a 3D feature.
We have the Youtube "&flip=1" page "upsidedowner." Example.
Google Maps Japan has the Gachapin advisor.
In other April 1st day news, what is going on with Gizmodo? They look like they got conficker.Â
Some Via Google BlogScoped.Â
