It's back in the days of desk-sized CRT monitors, and everyone in this company's customer service department gets one, reports an IT pilot fish doing the deployment.
"The next day I got a call from a customer-service rep saying she accidentally knocked loose the monitor's antenna, but it was still working," fish says.
"Confused, I walked over to customer service and noticed that the short tool for adjusting the image was left sticking out of the top of each monitor.
"I told the rep, 'Everything is OK -- the antenna is really only a backup in case the wired connection is broken.'"
