How to save time

IT director pilot fish is presiding over an IT staff meeting — and the software developers aren't happy.
"They were complaining about the network slowdowns that were causing their apps to get bad press for moving at glacial speed," says fish.
But a PC tech quickly explains that there's been a rush to configure replacement antivirus software, and that's contributing to the problem.
"It took me three hours to figure out how to automate the install to 'sneaker-net' it," he tells the group.
Wait, fish says, puzzled at the mixed metaphor. Your original plan was to manually install the AV software on each of the organization's workstations, right?
Tech nods.
But instead, fish says, I asked you to save time by having the install automated and pushed out through the network.
Tech's face grows noticeably brighter. "Oh," he says, "that's what you meant..."
Sighs fish, "I realized that the time savings from a pushed install was instead spent by his research on 'sneaker-net automation.'"
