Apple versus Google

iPhone to get native WordPress blogging client?

At WordPress camp in Dallas on March 29th, the hour plus long keynote gave a lot of information on Wordpress 2.5. 51:00 minutes into the video, Matt Mullenwag, the leader of WordPress, says that there is a mobile device that will have WordPress built in and, "you can probably guess which one that is."

Would Nokia, with its 95% non-Qwerty phones be a candidate? Maybe the N810 devices would make a good Blogging device..but no Wide Area Wireless? Meh.

How about the mess that is Windows Mobile? Not likely.

Blackberry? Too corporate for "lowly bloggers."

Sony? Perhaps, but they would be more likely to invent their own blogging platform based on MagicGate technology. Open Source? Not likely.

Well, who else is out there? Sidekick? A month ago, they would have been a good candidate, but they are in the process of getting eaten up by Microsoft.

Palm Treo? yeah.

Let's see...I can probably guess which mobile platform it is - as long it isn't Nokia/Symbian. It is the one that would actually want to keep it a secret rather than releasing beta versions or letting the secret get out.

But the thing is, I can already blog from my iPhone! Blogging from an iPod touch would be pretty interesting as well. iPod Touches as well as iPhones would be great for blogging and add yet another reason to buy.

Thanks

Wordpress on iPhone

I heard they already had wordpress for the iphone, will this come pre-installed now?

PS: Agree to the credit issue, its worth more than a little "Thanks" link.

Credit

Please, when you use someone else's news story, give more credit than an obscure "Thanks" link at the bottom. ;-)

It's the iPhone. Who else

It's the iPhone. Who else would swear them to secrecy?
