Mike Homer passes away at 50

Mike Homer had a rare combination of talents in the technology industry. His technology trends early warning radar system was flawless, he could take those tech trends and turn them into business plans and he was approachable, well spoken and simply nice to be around.

As someone covering the technology industry for many years, I interacted with Mike at Apple, Go and Netscape. He wrote the business plan for Netscape and was the company's first vice-president of marketing.

After a two year struggle with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, Mike Homer passed away. He was 50-years-old. He will be missed by all, including me.

Kara Swisher offers a nice tribute to Mike at All Things D.
