The cycle goes from Technology Trigger and Peak of Inflated Expectations to the dreaded Trough of Disillusionment, up the Slope of Enlightenment and then onto Nirvana: the Plateau of Productivity. It heads up to the Peak of Inflated Pomposity, down the Trough of Reality and eventually arrives at the Plateau of Mediocrity.
