New search engine returns better results

The conversation on searches continues. Previously, my brother, others and I have been discussing the current state of search technology and the problems that need to be overcome.

Today my brother, Robert, pointed to a newer search engine Exalead.

I tried it and I like it so far. Gets us closer to meaningful context based searches. Plus it has a nice interface.

I did a search for home theater and cannot connect remote desktop protocol console. The results that come up are a lot more valid than similar searches from Google or Yahoo.

The fact that you can quickly and easily have it disregard certain words or phrases or concentrate on others, which is one of the features that had been discussed in the previous threads.

Anyhow, it's an engine to watch. Jury for me is still out on whether I will use it for all my searches, but it certainly will be a top choice for complex searches and those that I know will most likely return a lot of noise.
