Security Matters

Identity theft prevention guide

I really like the "Ultimate Guide to Identity Theft Prevention", especially the table at the beginning of the page about how many people think about ranking the importance of information.  One thing I've learned in security, you can't just say "protect it all." You have to evaluate the value of your data and protect it accordingly.  This isn't just a guide on how to protect your identity online, it gives you hints ranging from getting a locking mailbox to removing sensitive information from your resume.

Who puts their social security number on their resume anyways?

Thanks Martin for getting the word out.
That guide is a great resource.
Two others are The Federal Trade Commission's site http://www.consumer.gov/idtheft and the Better Business Bureau's "Security & Privacy Made Simple" (http://www.bbb.org/securityandprivacy/).
