Another 40 million credit card numbers exposed

This should make the news tonight, but in case you're browsing here before dinner: CNN is reporting that MasterCard International has issued a security alert involving as many as 40 million credit cards, including 14 million MasterCard cards.
MasterCard says a hacker gained access to a database at CardSystems Solutions in Tucson, a company that processes credit transactions. The hacker installed a script that searched for certain types of credit-card transaction data.
MasterCard says it learned the details of the security breach earlier this week, and notified banks of the affected card numbers today.
