Good cards gone bad!

It's stories like this that frustrate me. I know first hand what it's like to have a credit card compromised. My problem was, I only found out when I went to pay our bill at a restaurant. To make matters worse, the only other credit card I had with me at the time was also compromised! Luckily my wife and I were able to scrape up enough cash to pay the bill. How I had both my cards compromised simultaneously, I've never been able to figure out - but both were Visa cards. Now I always make sure I'll have enough cash to handle the situation - effectively negating the need to carry along a credit card! What can I say, once bitten twice shy!
