Come Monday we will know if the patches took. Seriously, we are not worried about the network gear or server operating systems, or desktops, phone system or email system. We are worried about the outsourced applications. We have the vendor's word that they have addressed the issue. Only time will tell.
In an ideal world, applications rely on the server's time and those servers get their time from a Network Time Server. What if, not all their servers are pointing to accurate Network Time servers? What if the application relies on it's own internal date/time algorithm? Ah, this reminds me of Y2K. If anything blows up, I will let you know.
