It just keeps getting weirder. The Register reports that London-based handheld game maker Gizmondo Europe Ltd. is outsourcing jobs to cut costs.

Gizmondo announced last week that it's opening an L.A. office to be close to be close to West Coast music, movie and game publishers. What the Register's Aaron McKenna dug up on further investigation is that there won't be much of Gizmondo left in the U.K. once the L.A. office opens and the U.K. operations are "streamlined." More than half the U.K. jobs will be cut, McKenna reports.
But...moving jobs to Los Angeles to cut costs?
No word on whether the company plans to buy a boat.
