OS X patch now available for critical Java bug

On June 15th, Apple issued a fix for critical bug in Java that finally brings Mac Java users up the level of safety enjoyed for months by Windows and Linux users.

Mac users running OS X 10.4 should upgrade to either Java version 1.5.0_19 or 1.4.2_21 (download here).

Mac users running OS X 10.5 should upgrade to either Java version 1.6.0_13 or 1.5.0_19 or 1.4.2_21 (download here).

All Java users (Macs, Windows, Linux) can test the version of Java installed on their computer at my JavaTester.org web site. You need to test each installed web browser separately.
