Put more than anti-virus to work on your computer
Most of us know the importance of having (and keeping up-to-date) anti-virus software for our systems, but there are other important tools available. Even experts are sometimes not clear on exactly which products would serve them best, but I think most would agree that anti-virus alone isn't enough.
Certainly, I agree with Byrn Acohido in his USA Today article "Anti-virus software isn't the only computer security tool" that if we want to be protected, we shouldn't ignore looking into web page scanners, email authenticators (aka certified email) and browser security tools. Depending on your particular needs, probably one if not all of these tools could prove useful for boosting your security.
