Welcome to 2008! This blog (which has been on a slight hiatus) is meant to highlight happenings in the Software as a Service world in conjunction with the upcoming SaaScon industry event.
As we look forward, I thought it might be helpful to turn first to Jeff Kaplan's list of reasons why SaaS will "soar" in 2008. Some of the more notable reasons include:

Channel Companies Find Success With New Services
Wall Street Buys Into Services
Recent events like NetSuite's IPO and announcements from Amazon and Google would certainly seem to support Jeff. Keep an eye of this space as we explore these and other ideas leading up to SaaScon.
