Solar power for your laptop... or car!

SANTA BARBARA, CALIF. -- Wimpy little portable solar chargers abound, powerful enough to juice your cell phone or iPod. But Brunton plans to start selling next month a foldable solar panel powerful enough to charge your laptop -- or even your car battery.

The product is called the Solaris 26, which the company says is the most compact high-output model available anywhere. The secret sauce is Copper Indium Gallium diSelenide, which is a super efficient solar technology.

Best of all (especially for those with deep pockets), you can link three of them together for super-fast charging -- even in very low light conditions.

The company's web site says pricing isn't available. But word on the street says each will cost between $850 and $900.
