I like it when I see teachers making use of technology in the classroom when ever possible. The state of Florida has just approved an online reading program called Free-Reading and it'll allow Florida teachers free access starting this fall. While they're not getting rid of conventional textbooks, this program should be a nice supplement and/or alternative to those tomes.

Imagine you wake up one morning to start your job search. You visit the ever popular Monster.com only to end up be attacked by malware. Unfortunately for Monster.com, hackers apparently have had their way by injecting malicious IFrame code into part of the Monster.com Website. Monster reacted quickly by shutting down those infected parts but this does bring up the topic of Website security. When it comes to organizations instituting sound security practices, Websites unfortunately sometimes take a back seat.

I couldn't wait to show this press release "Link between online gaming and violence killed off" to my teenaged son - although I think he's already relaxed. Apparently psychologists at Middlesex University asked online gamers (between 12 and 83 years old) to answer some questions relating to personality, anger and aggression both before and after playing World of Warcraft for two hours.
