Shark Tank

Unlikely puzzle solution

IT manager pilot fish gets a call from a remote site's "IT contact" -- a designated user who handles minor procedures when there's a problem.

"This IT contact called to notify us that a piece of equipment was beeping," fish says. "After talking with her for a few minutes, we realized that the beeping equipment was their uninterruptible power supply, and everything was plugged into it."

User insists she has never seen that power supply there before, but fish tells her not to worry -- central IT will order her another one and have it shipped the next day.

Fish also tells user to shut down the equipment and plug it all into a regular electrical outlet until the new power supply arrives.

But suddenly user gasps and tells fish, "Never mind, we can get another one for free. I just realized that this is not our equipment! It says UPS on the front of it, so I will call them and have them send us another one right away!"
