Amir Lev is the CTO and President of Commtouch Software Ltd. (NASDAQ:CTCH), an e-mail and Web defense technology provider. He co-founded the company in 1991 and oversees all R&D and product activities. Before founding Commtouch, Amir managed development efforts for Daisy Systems, a leading developer and manufacturer of computer aided design products. Amir holds a B.A. in Computer Science and Economics from Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
Commtouch provides messaging and Web security technology to approximately 135 security companies and service providers -- including Check Point, F-Secure, Panda Security, Mirapoint, Sendmail, and Tumbleweed -- for integration into their solutions. Commtouch’s patented, cloud-based Recurrent Pattern Detection™ and GlobalView™ technologies automatically analyze billions of Internet transactions in real-time, for hundreds of millions of users in 190 countries. Commtouch is headquartered in Netanya, Israel, and has a subsidiary in Sunnyvale, Calif.
