What a pretty mess: a botnet map
Security people can talk until they're blue in the face about the dangers of unsecured Windows PCs and how they can be used in botnets. Does anyone listen?
Well, it sure doesn't seem like it some days. Perhaps this Botnet map from CSO will help get the message across.
I don't know if a picture, or an interactive map for that matter, is really worth a thousand words. I do know that a single unprotected Windows PC in a botnet can generate a thousand spam messages and malware attacks. So, hopefully, this will kick at least one person's rump into taking better care of their PC security.
