Where are the tech jobs?

Or more precisely, where are the most technology jobs? Silicon Valley, right? Wrong. Boston? nope. LA? Nope.

According to the March jobs report from Dice.com, the most technology jobs by far are in the Washington D.C. area. I'm wondering if that has something to do with government spending.

Anyways, here's the numbers as of March 2.

full time positions: 35,570

contract positions: 23,545

part-time positions: 1,211

Jobs by top five regions

Washington DC area: 7,904

New York: 5,527

Silicon Valley: 2,666

And the top tech skills?
