A quick update to yesterday's IT Blogwatch: as predicted, Palm and Sprint launched the Palm Pre today, with availability in less than three weeks. So there.

In case you’re dying to blow some cash on some Pre accessories, the Touchstone Charging Kit goes on sale the same day for $69.99 and will comes with the Touchstone charging dock and battery cover. A bit steep, but it’s not like we expected it to be anything but.

The long-awaited launch announcement from Palm concerning the Pre release has been received and June 6 is the day. The Palm Pre will be available from Sprint, Best Buy, Radio Shack and select Walmart stores for $199.99 (after $100 rebate) and will require a two-year Everything Data or Business Essentials plan.
